• All payments are processed through our secure payment system
• Service providers pay a commission on completed jobs (10-15%)
• Customers pay the agreed-upon service fee plus applicable taxes
• Payments are held in escrow until job completion
• Refunds are subject to our refund policy
• We reserve the right to change our fee structure with notice

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation policies vary by service and provider. Generally:

• Cancellations made 24+ hours before service may receive full refund
• Late cancellations may incur fees
• No-shows may result in no refund
• Disputes are handled through our dispute resolution process

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Local Service Marketplace or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you post, but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it on our platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Local Service Marketplace shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our platform.

We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by service providers.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Local Service Marketplace from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may also terminate your account at any time through your account settings.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
